Reflection occurs when light turns back from a surface toward the viewer.
With the theme “Reflections” of my forthcoming exhibition at LIK Gallery, I want to introduce the viewer to the reflections of my work over the past seven years—to the way my inner world has been refracted under different projections according to the metamorphoses within me; how my imagination materializes on the canvases and my thoughts are reflected and transferred into my works.
How my love for the earth and the cosmos is projected onto my art, while the freedom of birds is reflected in me and gives me wings to depict my dreams freely. How a glimmer appears in the darkness and illuminates my dreams. Even the rays of the sun cast their reflections over the different color nuances of my paintings. Every subsequent layer on the canvas could change the light in your eyes. The mirror-like surface of the works is refracted differently through the prism of each person.
If you would like to experience all this, you are welcome to the opening of the exhibition “Reflections” at LIK Gallery, 37 Lajos Kossuth Street, Sofia, on 26 February 2020 at 18:30.
